BRI and Tokopedia launch the “Tokopedia Card” credit card

BRI Consumer Business Director Handayani explained that the collaboration is established based on the shared values held by BRI and Tokopedia. “This collaboration is a form of continued BRI support for the government’s mission to increase financial inclusion, for example by increasing cashless transactions,” she said.

This becomes proof that banking institutions can collaborate with the market to improve public access to financial services using digital technology.

It is hoped that Tokopedia Card will facilitate Tokopedia users not only to make purchases but also to apply for credit cards and monitor credit card usage.

The design of the Tokopedia map is also very unique. By scanning the QR code on the front of the card, users can immediately find exciting promotions as well as check and manage card transactions through the Tokopedia app. This innovation makes the user experience more #PraktisAbis (practical).

Apart from simpler services, Tokopedia users can also create transactions using credit cards at home and abroad through the Visa network, both online and offline transactions in more than 70 million locations worldwide.

Vira Widiyasari, SVP of Fintech and Payment Tokopedia, said, “The collaboration between Tokopedia and BRI through Tokopedia Card is our effort to create a more convenient shopping experience for Indonesians. With only an identity card (KTP), users can apply for a Tokopedia card easily, quickly and completely online. This is possible because the process uses a credit scoring service from Toko Score so users do not need additional documents. Toko Score has also been used by various trusted financial services institutions including BRI.
