The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has made a big update to its website. Thanks to this new DoT service, you will now be able to easily check how many mobile numbers are registered with your Aadhaar number. The DoT recently launched a portal, called Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management and Consumer Protection (TAFCOP), which allows users to verify all phone numbers linked to their Aadhaar card. “The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has taken several measures to ensure an appropriate allocation of telecommunications resources by telecommunications service providers (TSPs) to subscribers and to protect their interests by ensuring fraud reduction. According to existing guidelines, individual mobile subscribers can register up to nine mobile connections on their behalf, ”reads the“ About ”section of the TAFCOP portal.

The portal further states: “This website has been developed to assist subscribers, check the number of mobile connections working on their behalf and take the necessary steps to regularize their additional mobile connections, if any. However, the primary responsibility for processing the Customer Acquisition Form (CAF) rests with the service providers.

Step by step guide to check how many mobile numbers are registered with Aadhaar card –

  1. Go to the Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management and Consumer Protection portal website https://tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in/.
  2. Now enter your contact number.
  3. Then click on the “Request an OTP” tab.
  4. Now enter the OTP number you received.
  5. Then all the numbers linked to your Aadhaar number will be displayed on the site.
  6. From these numbers, users can flag and block numbers they don’t use or no longer need.
