The SBI debit card is a basic debit card for home use only. In accordance with RBI guidelines, banks issue debit cards for home use only, unless international use is specifically sought by the customer. SBI offers international transaction services, you can activate the international transaction service on your SBI debit card through the SBI YONO app.

How to activate international transactions on an SBI debit card using the SBI YONO app:

• Download the SBI YONO app on your phone.
• Log in to the app using a 6-digit PIN code.
• Then tap the menu icon at the top left.
• Press the Service Request option in the menu and select Service Request.
• Now tap on the ATM / Debit Card option and select the debit card.
• Enter your SBI profile password and click the Submit button.
• Then tap on the Manage card option.
• From the drop-down list, select the account number, then select the card number, then click on the “Manage usage” option.
• Now turn on international use with the push of a toggle button. Click the Next button to submit the request.
• On the new screen, enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number and press the Submit button.
