IRCTC users can get cheaper AC tickets using this card. Check details

BOB Financial Solutions Limited (BFSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of Baroda (BoB) and Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC) have partnered to launch the IRCTC BoB RuPay contactless credit card. The card is specially designed to offer maximum savings to frequent train travellers.

IRCTC users will get cheaper tickets if they book an AC class train ticket using a BoB credit card. This card will also have multiple benefits for purchases in other categories ranging from groceries to fuel. Cardholders can also use this card to transact at international merchants and ATMs through the JCB network.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajni Hasija, CMD, IRCTC said, “IRCTC has a wealth of experience in offering its customers such co-branded cards and has a link with another public sector bank to offer its loyalty program to its customers.The recent collaboration with BOB Financial to launch the IRCTC BoB RuPay contactless credit card is another historic step towards promoting the indigenous payment platform RuPay and realizing the vision of Digital India from the Prime Minister of India.IRCTC is pleased to be instrumental in realizing this vision and we look forward to the resounding success of this card with our customers.The value proposition of this card has great potential as well an opportunity to be used among IRCTC’s vast customer base through its e-ticketing website www.irctc.co.in and the “IRCTC Rail Connect” mobile application.

Speaking about the launch, Shailendra Singh, MD and CEO, BFSL said, “We also expect the co-branded card to act as a catalyst for further adoption of digital payments in deeper geographies, aided by presence at both of the rail network as well as as BoB branches. »

The co-branded credit card will offer four reward points (per 100 spent) on grocery and department stores and two reward points on other categories. Cardholders will be entitled to 4 free visits per year to partner rail lounges. The card will also offer a 1% fuel surcharge waiver at all petrol stations in India. Cardholders will be able to redeem reward points accumulated on the IRCTC website and mobile app, after linking their loyalty number (printed on the co-branded credit card) to their IRCTC login ID.
