How to earn $ 300 on your electricity bill with Kogan Energy
To earn the $ 300 credit on the $ 300 offer, customers will not only need to sign up for the new $ 300 offer plan, but also a new Kogan Money black card by September 30, 2021. While the electricity plan itself is open to all customers, it is important to note that any existing customer of Kogan Energy who currently holds or has previously held a Kogan Black Money Card will not be eligible for this discount.
Once the energy and credit card accounts have been approved, billpayers will then be required to spend $ 1,500 on âqualifying purchases,â using their new card, within 90 days of holding it. Balance transfers, cash advances, refunds and chargebacks, purchases of foreign currency and travelers’ checks and other miscellaneous fees and transactions are not considered qualifying purchases under Kogan Energy’s terms and conditions.
If all requirements are met within the time frame, Kogan Energy will then give the customer a one-time bill credit of $ 300 on their energy bill within 10 weeks of the end of the reference period – essentially up to 160 days. or about 23 weeks after they first signed up for the offer.
Is the new Kogan Energy contract right for me?
While Kogan Energy’s latest offering offers a generous rebate on energy bills, it is not necessarily the most accessible rebate. Unless you are an avid credit card user looking for a new card, it might not be worth opening a credit account and then spending $ 1,500 for a discount. of $ 300.
This is in addition to the fact that the rebate itself is only worth a fifth of what you have to spend to receive it, so unless you’ve previously intended to make that expense, you could end up with a loss rather than a gain. In addition, with the tariffs for the use and supply of this offer almost identical to those of Kogan Energy’s market offer, this is only a short-term saving.
While conditional discounts like this can be attractive, it’s always important to consider the terms of the discount. If you’re unlikely to qualify for the rebate, or if you can’t afford not to get the rebate within your budget, it’s probably best to seek out an offer that is more suited to your financial situation.
But for those who can make this deal work for them, there is a big saving to be made. And the Kogan Money Black Card offers an annual fee of $ 0. By signing up for the $ 300 offer, you’ll also be signed up for Kogan’s reward program through Kogan.com.
