‘Noble effort proposed for Sabah ID card to protect rights of Sabahans’

RANAU: The proposal for a Sabah ID card or “Sabah IC” is a noble effort to protect the real rights of Sabahans. plural society relationship in Sabah and Malaysia. He was speaking during the reception of the Sabah IC campaign tour team at the Ranau Hakka food court.

Recently, former Chief Minister and Chairman of SAPP, Datuk Yong Teck Lee, said that he hopes the issuance of Sabah IC will take place next year at the earliest. “We Sabahans have to take the initiative. The Sabah State Assembly needs to pass a motion on this,” he said. Yong had said the federal government had no jurisdiction over the issuance of ICs until Sabah granted or revoked citizenship.
