What is the Aadhaar Blue Card? Check details, how to apply and more

Blue card Aadhaar: Blue Aadhar also known as Baal Aadhaar was introduced by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). It is printed in a blue colored letter to communicate the Aadhaar number to children under five years old.

It should be noted that the blue colored Aadhaar card becomes invalid when the child reaches the age of five. To make it valid, the Aadhaar holder (parents) must update the Aadhaar details with the biometrics at the age of five of their child. Blue card Aadhaar: details
It should be noted that for children under 5 years of age, no biometric data will be entered. Their UID will be processed using demographic data and a facial image linked to their parent’s UID. When these young people are 5 and 15 years old, they will have to update their biometrics, which includes ten fingers, the iris and a photo of their face.

Blue card Aadhaar: how to apply
Here is the step by step process to apply for an Aadhaar Blue Card:

Step 1: Visit the official website of UIDAI – uidai.gov.in

2nd step: Choose Aadhaar card registration option.

Step 3: The parent will be required to fill in mandatory information such as child’s name, guardian/parent’s phone number and other biometric information related to the child and guardian/parent.

Step 4: Fill in demographic details like residential address, locality, state and others.

Step 5: Submit full details

Step 6: Click on Appointment option for Aadhaar Card Registration

Step 7: Check the nearest enrollment center and schedule an appointment. Take all supporting documents such as proof of identity, proof of address, proof of relationship, date of birth and reference number.

Step 8: Once the whole process is completed, the Aadhaar center will provide an acknowledgment number to track the progress.
